Latch On!

Over the past few months, I've really been wondering if this coaching thing is for me. I've been wondering if I will ever have the success others in my upline enjoy.
Well, I can tell you I'm definitely in this for the long haul. In her book The 5-Second Rule, Mel Robbins tells of a difficult season in her life. She goes on to tell of how before going to bed one night in 2009, she saw a television broadcast of a rocket launching. She used that image of a countdown and a rocket launching to find the courage to makes the necessary changes in her life.
Since I first listened to this book (AUDIBLE BABY!), I've been thinking about latching on to something to keep acting courageous. I've actually discovered two "latch points" for me.
The first is a piece of music. You all know the theme from the movie Rocky. This theme only has a few lyrics, interspersed throughout the song. At the beginning, singers declare, "trying hard now, it's so hard now." And that's where I felt I was. "This is so hard!" "Why am I not getting to where I want to be?" The song later states, "Getting strong now, won't be long now." I know this is where I am now. I'm feeling more confident in my conversations about what Beachbody has to offer and the opportunity available to anyone. The song ends with the resolute, "gonna fly now, flying high now." I can see it. I can see myself as the leader I'm meant to be!
The second latch point comes from the book I mentioned. It's a quote I have as my Facebook profile cover. The only credit I can give for it is Mel Robbins. It states, "You have been assigned this mountain to show others it can be moved." I have the potential to move my mountain of insecurity, my mountain of fear, my mountain of worry. I want to move these mountains to show you that your mountain is moveable.
What about you? What are your latch points? What can you latch on to do you can take that next step?
